OUT OF CHARACTER
PLAYER: Jenn
PRONOUNS: She/her
CONTACT: [plurk.com profile] victoryfanfare
THREADJACKING: Go for it!
CANONPUNCTURE: Sure!
BACKTAGGING: I'll go as long as I can but usually try to move on after 3-4 weeks unless it's a serious thread.
CONTENT WARNINGS: Warn in advance if serious or heinous sibling-on-sibling violence comes up in detail. It's not that huge of a deal I just don't want it dropped into a conversation on a whim. (Also I know this is funny given No More Heroes but roll w/ me please.)

IN CHARACTER
CHARACTER: Travis Touchdown, the Holy Sword, the Crownless King, the No More Hero!
CANON: No More Heroes
AGE: 39.
DESCRIPTION: 5'10", wiry but athletic build, spiked dark hair, ice blue eyes, scar over left eye. Always wears aviator sunglasses, even indoors, even at night.

He dresses like an asshole. Brightly coloured leather jackets with high collars, often with studs and anime or animal or shattered star motifs. Ratty jeans, sometimes often very fitted. Skater-type shoes. Colourful studded belts with chunky novelty belt buckles. He has an obscene t-shirt collection. Ie:
- a mint green shirt with an image of a woman's breasts in a bikini top that says NICE TITS in a 70s font
- a white and red ringer shirt with a large print of five scantily clad magical girls
- a black hoodie that says FUCK RACISM in red text
- a shirt printed with a mugshot of himself
- vintage punk band shirts
- shirts for obscure slasher/horror movies.

If you catch him shirtless, he has a nasty fist-sized scar on his chest.

DEMEANOR:

His language can be pretty crude and sometimes hostile. He swears a lot and uses some misogynistic language. He has a pretty solid resting bitch face! But he's generally a pretty friendly guy and is unbothered by conflict; if you're cool, he's cool. He walks with a casual swagger, and he's largely impossible to embarrass; Travis does not consider anything about himself to be cringe, and so he acts with pretty much complete sincerity.

He's also pretty forgiving. You gotta be pretty much straight up evil for him to not have interest in getting to know someone's humanity; his curiosity about others is pretty consistent.

ABILITIES:

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: KILL STEALING!!!!!! But nah, he's got some tight opinions on authority and oppression, nothing too surprising there for DWRP. That said, while he's pretty forward-thinking and falls in with a lot of common punk ideologies –– non-conformity, anti-authoritarianism, anti-racism, anti-gentrification, anti-selling-out, environmentalism, yadda yadda –– he's an idiot and isn't likely to articulate any of this very well.

He has particular feelings on children being exposed to violence or death and cares very much about preserving their innocence.

INTERACTIONS
MAGIC: Go for it.
MENTAL: Go for it, but message me for The Deets. Also: Travis is hideously gullible. If you want to convince him of something stupid, you don't really have to plumb his mind.
MIMICRY: Go for it.
INTIMACY: Go for it.
VIOLENCE: GO FOR IT BABYYYYY.
OTHER: I'm flexible and super unbothered by negative CR. Dunk on Travis all you want, I know what he is.

OPT-OUT AND CONTENT WARNINGS

On top of all the murder and bloodshed, Travis has a lot of content warnings. If you'd like to opt out of playing with Travis or any of my characters, please reply below with your name and character journals and I'll take note. (Comments are screened.)

On the lighter end:
- generally crude language and crude subjects but generally steers clear of the -isms save for...
- some casual misogyny. He's pretty harmless on an ideological level, it's mostly just surface-level shit that crops up when he's angry –– calling women "bitches" and cowardly men "pussies". No worries about sexual predation: he might blatantly look, but he doesn't catcall, he keeps hands to himself, he doesn't do sexual violence, and he's married and faithful to his wife anyway. He will sometimes default to gendered trash talk. As a player, I am always comfortable with Travis being called on this shit, it's heinous.
And then there are these two, which I will never include in tags unless discussed prior, and Travis will never bring up unsolicited. He will be reluctant to talk about these subjects in any sort of detail beyond acknowledging that they happened. Content warning for sexual violence (peripheral), family violence, family death/murder, infidelity, underage prostitution and some risk of incest that was not acted on.
- Romantic feelings for his half sister; he was in love with his half-sister Jeane for a while in his early 20s. It didn't go anywhere, and he didn't know they were related by blood at the time, but he did know her as his adopted sister, and the feelings were there. (They definitely aren't now.)

- Some heavy-grade family trauma in his past. His father was a serial killer and rapist, which included sexually abusing his daughter (and Travis's half sister) Jeane. At one point Travis, Henry and Jeane attempted to run away, living in the woods and on the roadside for a few days; Henry was pulled into a passing car and kidnapped, and Travis and Jeane returned to the family household. As a teenager, Jeane prostituted herself to make money to become an assassin, and then murdered their father and Travis's mother in front of him. Travis killed Jeane himself the better part of a decade later. Travis has suppressed a lot of that period in his life, and what he does remember, he chooses not to think about.
